The second decade of the 21st century presents Pinelands High School with many opportunities and some challenges. The imprint that this school continues to make on the South African societal and economic landscape will depend significantly on our commitment to invest in the future.

We can be very proud of the achievements of Pinelands High. It is a wonderful example of a fully transformed South African school, intentionally guiding pupils to process issues of diversity and integration, as well as continuing to be successful academically, socio-culturally and on the sports field.

For friends, family and Alumni of Pinelands High, this decade presents many meaningful opportunities for making a profound difference to the prospects of a large number of young South Africans, helping to shape future leaders and contributors to our society. We are seeking to respond effectively to the demand placed on all schools to be addressing the need for better quality maths and science matriculants, whilst at the same time seeking to keep abreast of current teaching technologies and striving to develop a more pupil-friendly physical environment.

Whilst Pinelands High has received funding in the past from various sources, the reality is that we are competing with a large number of other worthy and needy causes. This necessitates us also looking to our own backyard for vital support - from parents, friends, Alumni and the Pinelands community.

Before you click to another section of the website, please have a look at our Sow a Seed - Leave a Legacy document; and consider how you could - now or in the future - leave a legacy for future generations of Pinelanders, while at the same time securing a tax break.

Kind regards

Carol Franck (Development Director)
