Information Resource Centre
Parents and visitors to the school may have noticed much building work happening lately. Thanks to the Rolf-Stephen Nussbaum Foundation, our current library is undergoing a complete renovation, and we look forward to opening our new Information Resource Centre later this month.
We have installed a mezzanine level, which will house 15 computers, and provide a place for quiet study. Underneath the mezzanine will be a venue for presentations and teaching. Books and magazines will be housed downstairs too. There will also be areas for quiet study, and an area for relaxation. A room has also been set aside for a coffee shop - but we'll have to wait until next year for that!
The new Information Resource Centre will give the school a modern and flexible venue incorporating the best of both print and digital resources, while providing an inspiring learning environment for both individuals and groups.
School shop
The school shop will be moving into what was a storeroom, between the English and Afrikaans wings. Building work is almost complete, with carpets being laid. The new shop will provide a better shopping area, with more storage for extra stock. We're hoping that the new shop will be up and running by next term.
