Payment of school fees is compulsory. Currently, school fees for grade 8 learners are R16 368 per annum, of which R600 is payable to the school before 1 December 2009. The balance of R15 768 is payable in 11 monthly installments of R1 434, preferably by debit order. Fees for grade 9 – 12 are R15 268 per annum, also payable in 11 monthly installments of R1 388.
In the event of action having to be taken to recover unpaid fees, please be aware that all legal, collection and interest charges will be borne by the responsible parent/guardian and not by the school. (Parents who are not able to pay school fees in full are required to apply to the school for a remission of fees. If a remission is granted, the cost of your child’s education is borne by the other fee-paying parents at the school. The State makes no contribution whatsoever in these cases.)
Please be informed that the parents at the budget meeting held in November 2009 approved the continuation of a Capital Development Fund. The objective of this fund is to provide for additional facilities in the form of classrooms and equipment. Donations are tax deductible in accordance with our public benefit organisation status and tax certificates will be issued upon request.
