Pinelands High School stages annual dramatic productions, which have become known in Cape Town for a level of professionalism and excellence seldom seen in other school productions. Learners are involved in all aspects of our productions, from acting and singing, to set construction, make-up and sound and lighting.
Our dramatic productions alternate between musicals one year and a play the next, giving students interested in drama a wide range of acting, dancing and singing experience.
The school also holds an annual One-Act Play Festival in the fourth term. These plays are produced entirely by learners, who direct, act and sometimes even write the plays!
