Pinelands High School is perhaps one of the most successful examples of transformation in the South African schooling system, actively practising racial and gender tolerance and acceptance through structured programmes. The school prides itself on providing its learners with the opportunities that will prepare them to make a meaningful contribution to South Africa.
Our flagship programme is our Rainbow Camp, which is run each year for Grade 11 learners. In brief, the Rainbow Camps deal with prejudice and bias, and promote understanding and acceptance.
Pinelands High School has developed a relationship with the Global Nomads Group, an American non-profit organisation whose purpose is to promote dialogue and understanding among different cultures. The school holds regular interactions with students in the United States, which take the form of discussions on various issues.
