Pinelands High School will be staging the musical "District Six" this month, from Wednesday 17 June to Tuesday 23 June 2009, in the Kent Hall. There will be two matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday 20/21 June at 14:30. All other performances will begin at 19:30 each evening (no Sunday evening performance).

"District Six", a musical written by David Kramer and Taliep Petersen, is a love story set against the forced removals of a Cape Town community by the apartheid regime during the 1960s.

Directed by Mr Mike Harris, the show promises to be a spectacle of colour, energy and fabulous music!

Tickets for the show are currently on sale at the school's bookshop, at a cost of R45 each.
